After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Enzo Pellecchia got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goalkeeper Lütfi Kutlubay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th match minute, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otávio Freitas to maneuver through the defense. After 10 minutes of play, Minho FC's Cristopher de Alcântara made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lütfi Kutlubay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Minho FC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demetrio Savini took the corner. Cristopher de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lütfi Kutlubay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Lütfi Kutlubay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristopher de Alcântara in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Mourato in the 39th minute of play forced Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goalkeeper Lütfi Kutlubay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lütfi Kutlubay had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Cristopher de Alcântara's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chiquinho Pombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zeferino Diegues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thibault Delanoë, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burak Onal in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute of the game Otávio Freitas made a throw-in which Chiquinho Pombal played forward. The supporters of Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristopher de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Burak Onal in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeferino Diegues saved Minho FC from getting behind. Lütfi Kutlubay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristopher de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibault Delanoë in the 68th minute of play. Minho FC's Noel Dantas was substituted for Demetrio Savini. Minho FC made a substitution. Cláudio Santiago replaced Ivo Mourato. The corner ended in Antero Mendes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Lütfi Kutlubay did a great save. Cristopher de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Lütfi Kutlubay made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Antero Mendes got a free kick in the 79th minute. Zeferino Diegues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burak Onal, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Cristopher de Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lütfi Kutlubay was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
