Spectators: 7848 (Terracing: 5888, Seating: 1804, VIP seats: 156) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonard Treppa started the match with the kick off. Kamal Pahlevi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Cordario in the 7th minute of the match. After 18 minutes of play, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodosio Sergi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st play minute Leonard Treppa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Teodosio Sergi. 2-0. In the 26th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Ávila to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match, Jonatan Raymundo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teodosio Sergi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The corner led Tirant lo Blanch's Pitin Vallejo to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodosio Sergi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leonard Treppa might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodosio Sergi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Treppa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sun Zhi Zhen to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute of the match Tirant lo Blanch got a corner. Velez Sarsfield's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pitin Vallejo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pitin Vallejo made a great header on Tirant lo Blanch's corner, it was just that Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi managed to reach the ball for a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 51st minute, Leonard Treppa made a precise shot to the right of Teodosio Sergi. Velez Sarsfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 54th minute, Ignacio Berenguer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Treppa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Sergi having to interfere. Teodosio Sergi came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa. But to his dismay, Leonard Treppa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Treppa in the 62nd minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Teodosio Sergi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Teodosio Sergi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Velez Sarsfield defense, Leonard Treppa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodosio Sergi. The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodosio Sergi should have stopped the shot. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was substituted for Ignacio Berenguer. After having played for 84 minutes, Carmen Paniagua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmen Paniagua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Tirant lo Blanch were the better team. Tirant lo Blanch's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
