Derman Cruchet might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rubén Urruti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derman Cruchet ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derman Cruchet in the 25th minute of play forced Auriolam II C.F.'s goalkeeper Rubén Urruti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Godoy got free with Jan Basaik in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubén Urruti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derman Cruchet in the 33rd minute of the match. Rubén Urruti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derman Cruchet in the 40th minute of play. Derman Cruchet took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubén Urruti. Rubén Urruti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Godoy to make the kick off. Jan Basaik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francesc Balmaseda's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Derman Cruchet took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Rubén Urruti to make any attempt to save it. Auriolam II C.F. made a substitution. Pelayo Mendez replaced Sven-Erik Söderberg. Francesc Balmaseda hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesc Balmaseda in the 72nd minute of play forced KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Jan Basaik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Auriolam II C.F.'s goalkeeper Rubén Urruti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derman Cruchet. Derman Cruchet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Rubén Urruti made a huge save. Jan Basaik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Godoy went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Auriolam II C.F.'s Jesús Perera got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
