If Eero Uusipaavalniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Leonel Rocco managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Manchester United FC's Eero Uusipaavalniemi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute, Eero Uusipaavalniemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Ángel Benito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Erkki Virta. In the 65th match minute, Manchester United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Ferdinand to maneuver through the defense.
