With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olcay Bozkurt in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Taffarel saved AKÇEŞMESPOR from getting behind. AKÇEŞMESPOR's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Junior in the 10th minute of play. With an all-out effort, AKÇEŞMESPOR's Alexandros Iordanidis threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Deivid De Souza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vinícius Junior took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cláudio Taffarel. Cláudio Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Olcay Bozkurt notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of AKÇEŞMESPOR's Cláudio Taffarel. Cláudio Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cláudio Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Junior in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Zhao Xun Jun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Cláudio Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olcay Bozkurt's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olcay Bozkurt to make the kick off. Cláudio Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinícius Junior in the 53rd minute. Olcay Bozkurt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched RO Army V55 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
