The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Edvin Jansson got free with János Moravecz in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zico Zellier made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sven-Edvin Jansson. János Moravecz made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Sven-Edvin Jansson sent off a good shot on target. A long shot from Máximo Perrone in the 25th minute of play was well struck, but János Moravecz made a really good save at the right post. Sven-Edvin Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. János Moravecz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armas Vapamaa in the 37th minute of play. SÉ SE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Levente Ballai in the 39th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wen Bing Liang made a kick off. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Roberto Trotta hit a great ball. Wen Bing Liang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by SÉ SE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Máximo Perrone was slow to take the kick. During this time GuateFortín's players had a chance to rest. In the 59th minute Sven-Edvin Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Moravecz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SÉ SE booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máximo Perrone didn't get a good kick on the ball. GuateFortín's Elias Pagomari was substituted for Thierry Henry. GuateFortín's Eliseo Umanzor was substituted for Máximo Perrone. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Máximo Perrone got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zalán Ibrahimovic in the 64th minute. Zalán Ibrahimovic received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nery Pumpido came out and tried to block the shot, but Zalán Ibrahimovic slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 64th minute. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido got control of the ball when Zalán Ibrahimovic tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Jansson came free, but János Moravecz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. János Moravecz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 70th minute of play. SÉ SE's János Moravecz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanyo Búnkov in the 73rd minute of play. In the 78th minute Sven-Edvin Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Moravecz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Armas Vapamaa could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Nery Pumpido however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zico Zellier in the 85th minute of play forced SÉ SE's goalkeeper János Moravecz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. János Moravecz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Kádár in the 93rd minute of the match. SÉ SE's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because GuateFortín had won, even though SÉ SE had held more of the ball.
