Iwan Dziuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanyo Búnkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Prestes in the 8th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Heide FC's Witold Hodyl got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match, Zico Zellier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iwan Dziuma saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 12th minute Zico Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Dziuma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zico Zellier came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the GuateFortín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zico Zellier couldn't finish the play. Leszek Sakowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Iwan Dziuma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Lázaro Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nery Pumpido was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 27th minute of the game Roberto Trotta made a throw-in which Angel Alvarenga played forward. Nery Pumpido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Prestes's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Heide FC's Leszek Sakowicz got a free kick in the 29th minute. Leszek Sakowicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Heide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zico Zellier came free, but Iwan Dziuma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Lázaro Prestes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nery Pumpido. GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lázaro Prestes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Lázaro Prestes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nery Pumpido. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nery Pumpido should have stopped the shot.

53 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lázaro Prestes. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by GuateFortín's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leszek Sakowicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Heide FC's players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido got control of the ball when Lázaro Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Heide FC's Lázaro Prestes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. GuateFortín's Elias Pagomari was substituted for Thierry Henry. Heide FC's attentive Julian Bejrut managed to snatch the ball when Roberto Trotta made a throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute Lázaro Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Prestes couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Heide FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GuateFortín throughout the match.
