The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Delphine Stars's zone, Pompiliu Cordescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Kornecki came out of the goal and Pompiliu Cordescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Kornecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Tuleiu in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Delphine Stars's Liviu Gogu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastián Sosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sebastián Sosa made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Vasile Ştirbu sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute Eusebiu Tuleiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Kornecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Inter Sibiu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vyacheslav Korolev was slow to take the kick. During this time Delphine Stars's players had a chance to rest. Adrian Duldurescu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 24 played minutes Delphine Stars got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Ţîrlea. After 25 played minutes, FC Inter Sibiu's Gică Costandache shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabian Kornecki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Inter Sibiu reached it. FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FC Inter Sibiu from getting a goal against them. Fabian Kornecki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Tuleiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Eusebiu Tuleiu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Delphine Stars's Fabian Kornecki did a great save. In the 31st minute FC Inter Sibiu were awarded a corner. Gică Costandache went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Inter Sibiu's Gică Costandache was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabian Kornecki in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Cosme Cruz could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Sebastián Sosa however easily saved by the left post. When Dragoş Bitang fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Inter Sibiu's protests and gave Dragoş Bitang a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Delphine Stars booed when FC Inter Sibiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Bitang didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Gogu in the 37th minute of play forced FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mircea Lipan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Vyacheslav Korolev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save FC Inter Sibiu from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Liviu Gogu to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, FC Inter Sibiu's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Gogu came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Cosme Cruz put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sebastián Sosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Cruz in the 61st minute of play forced FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Delphine Stars were awarded a corner. Vyacheslav Korolev went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Vyacheslav Korolev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa did a great save. FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vyacheslav Korolev in the 65th minute of play. Liviu Gogu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, FC Inter Sibiu's Ivan Moșanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Kornecki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Inter Sibiu were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Delphine Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gică Costandache took the corner. After 91 played minutes FC Inter Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Manciu. Sebastián Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vyacheslav Korolev, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Delphine Stars players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
