A throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game was made by Jan-Erik Winström with Simon Weterio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 5th minute of play forced BATIgol FC's goalkeeper Angel Peruzzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Grabiel Escorcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angel Peruzzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 11th play minute Grabiel Escorcia came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Angel Peruzzi. 2-0. After some careless play in the Nacional defense, Julian Unax kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juaneizu Merida. The Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juaneizu Merida should have stopped the shot. BATIgol FC's Julian Unax got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juaneizu Merida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Llorian in the 18th minute of play. Juaneizu Merida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Unax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jan-Erik Winström fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BATIgol FC's protests and gave Jan-Erik Winström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, BATIgol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Erik Winström to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Grabiel Escorcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 minutes of play, BATIgol FC's Julian Unax made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juaneizu Merida was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Grabiel Escorcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Peruzzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angel Peruzzi. That made the score 3-2 after 34 minutes of play. Angel Peruzzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 37th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Peruzzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xu Sha in the 42nd minute. After taking down the ball on Nacional's corner Xu Sha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angel Peruzzi quite easily take care of the ball. After 43 played minutes BATIgol FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Llorian. Jan-Erik Winström got a throw-in 47 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Feliciano Orti. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when Grabiel Escorcia made the kick off in the second half. If Joseph Gayoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Grabiel Escorcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Angel Peruzzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grabiel Escorcia's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Angel Peruzzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Nacional made a substitution. Walme Yurre replaced Mendiko Bueres. Joseph Gayoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angel Peruzzi having to make a save. Nacional were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of BATIgol FC for a fine match.
