The score was now 2-2. 26 minutes into the match, BATIgol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Bueno came free, but Angel Peruzzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Abeita's late challenge caught a AF CERRADO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Abeita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, BATIgol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Abeita to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by BATIgol FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dennis Contaldi was slow to take the kick. During this time AF CERRADO's players had a chance to rest. The corner led AF CERRADO's Dennis Contaldi to fire away a dangerous shot which Angel Peruzzi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Angel Peruzzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Lucas in the 40th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Lucas in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Peruzzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennis Contaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Unax stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. He was immediately shown a red card. 64 minutes into the game, one of BATIgol FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Angel Peruzzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 74th minute of play. If Feliciano Orti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. BATIgol FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though AF CERRADO had controlled the match.
