After having played for 3 minutes, Maikel Jol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maikel Jol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stacy Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Truylos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Flavio Tanio hit a great ball. Gabriel Ikatz came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Black Knights FC's Arturo Di Rado. But to his dismay, Arturo Di Rado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 13th minute, Lučano Lapotne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Eriberto Truylos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Ikatz made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Elliot Mercado sent off a good shot on target. Scottie Huston hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Xu Wei Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Truylos in the 26th minute of play forced Black Knights FC's goalkeeper Stacy Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Tanio made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Florentino Gomesano. The supporters of Independiente booed when Black Knights FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirby Metzger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Black Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Wei Kun came free, but Stacy Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stacy Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Suy in the 38th minute of the match. Stacy Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Suy, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Black Knights FC's Stacy Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maikel Jol in the 40th minute of play. Independiente's Xu Wei Kun got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Lučano Lapotne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Independiente's Gabriel Ikatz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Di Rado in the 55th minute of play. Black Knights FC's Stacy Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Black Knights FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Di Rado in the 71st minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Gabriel Ikatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Ikatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Di Rado in the 75th minute of play. Black Knights FC's Tim Crain was substituted for Kirby Metzger. Black Knights FC's Martin Mason was substituted for Scottie Huston. Gabriel Ikatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Di Rado, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Independiente players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Black Knights FC.
