Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) After having played for 5 minutes, Davide Rinaldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herta Budino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davide Rinaldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fortunato Sangermano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Marchetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Davide Rinaldi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio-André Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 17th minute Davide Rinaldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio-André Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortunato Sangermano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernest Legg in the 20th minute. When Ernest Legg, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 20 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fortunato Sangermano was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 22 minutes of play, Herta Budino's Davide Rinaldi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio-André Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cláudio-André Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Rinaldi in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Ernest Legg made a precise shot to the right of Fortunato Sangermano. Herta Budino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 44th minute, Angelo Di Livio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 47th minute of play. The F. C. Solitario players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Herta Budino were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Davide Rinaldi to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, F. C. Solitario's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Rinaldi came free, but Cláudio-André Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F. C. Solitario's Cláudio-André Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save F. C. Solitario from getting a goal against them. F. C. Solitario's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Davide Rinaldi scored to the left of an out of position Cláudio-André Taffarel, making the score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 64th minute of play forced Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Thomas Vollmar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Fortunato Sangermano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Herta Budino made a substitution. Johannes Fransson replaced Adam Baldy. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 73rd minute of play forced Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by F. C. Solitario's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fábio Grosso was slow to take the kick. During this time Herta Budino's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Herta Budino's Fábio Grosso to fire away a dangerous shot which Cláudio-André Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 79th minute Thomas Vollmar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Sangermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio-André Taffarel was a little too slow when Davide Rinaldi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 2-5. After a rather tough play, F. C. Solitario's Cristian Romero got a free kick in the 86th minute. Cláudio-André Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Di Livio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 minutes of play, Herta Budino's Virgílio Furtado made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio-André Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, Davide Rinaldi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cláudio-André Taffarel. The goal made the score 2-7. The Herta Budino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Herta Budino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
