The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Videl Mauriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ from getting a goal against them. Videl Mauriz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 8th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After 10 played minutes Grosso United got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Mendez. With a little luck, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Videl Mauriz got control of the ball when Antonín Orlík tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brandon Bayart got free with Videl Mauriz in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonín Orlík who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Videl Mauriz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Ulises Gartzen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Videl Mauriz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Pero Falla got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonín Orlík might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Videl Mauriz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonín Orlík ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonín Orlík sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pero Falla in the 29th minute of play forced Grosso United's goalkeeper Arcadio Buendia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Antonín Orlík's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Videl Mauriz was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Mauro Mendez put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Videl Mauriz. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pero Falla to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Grosso United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Gonchan to maneuver through the defense. Pacorro Aguilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Arcadio Buendia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eduardo Gonchan fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grosso United's protests and gave Eduardo Gonchan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Grosso United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Gonchan to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Gonchan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Xacintu came free, but Videl Mauriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Antonín Orlík came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Grosso United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonín Orlík couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonín Orlík in the 83rd minute of play forced ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Videl Mauriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Videl Mauriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonín Orlík, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Grosso United's goalkeeper Arcadio Buendia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pacorro Aguilar. The supporters of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ booed when Grosso United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Grosso United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
