Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 狄亦渊 ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Yin Wei Yi came free, but Ni Jun Sha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Wei Yi in the 24th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Ni Jun Sha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yin Wei Yi scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ni Jun Sha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brothers of Mercy's 狄亦渊 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benedicto Ireno in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Benedicto Ireno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brothers of Mercy's Sivert Frisck got a free kick in the 40th minute. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Innocenzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Brothers of Mercy made a substitution. Alex Axelsson replaced Roger Strömberg. In the 55th minute Håkan Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Ireno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Gabriel Saliba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Márk Stephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Ni Jun Sha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Márk Stephen. Benedicto Ireno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 狄亦渊, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute Valter Ahlerot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Ireno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ni Jun Sha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Márk Stephen went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute Albino Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Jun Sha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 89th minute of play forced C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's goalkeeper Benedicto Ireno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Saliba's late challenge caught a C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Saliba helped the player get up and apologised. Gabriel Saliba hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Chants of C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Brothers of Mercy had held the ball for most of the match.
