The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stellenbosch's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when 狄亦渊 scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Pelayo, making the score, 1-0. Pedro Pelayo made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Gabriel Saliba sent off a good shot on target. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 12th minute of play. Ni Jun Sha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Bernat in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Bernat in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ni Jun Sha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Lindgren in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Håkan Lindgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Pelayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Brothers of Mercy were awarded a corner. 狄亦渊 went to the cornerflag to take it. 23 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Martxelin came free, but Ni Jun Sha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Pelayo was a little too slow when Håkan Lindgren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 35th minute Håkan Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Lindgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Håkan Lindgren. When Brothers of Mercy's Håkan Lindgren in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Brothers of Mercy's Alex Axelsson was substituted for Roger Strömberg. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Håkan Lindgren was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Lindgren came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brothers of Mercy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 狄亦渊 in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Flóki Cabezudo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ni Jun Sha. Ni Jun Sha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Lluis in the 82nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavio Lluis got free with Ni Jun Sha in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Peter. 88 minutes into the match, Håkan Lindgren notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo. Pedro Pelayo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Håkan Lindgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Pelayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Håkan Lindgren notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo. Pedro Pelayo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brothers of Mercy fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stellenbosch had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
