In the 12th minute Ernesto Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Van Damme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Van Damme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miladin Kirichev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per-Oskar Walroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Van Damme having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Papillon AC got a freekick which was hit by Medero Medina. In the 18th minute Ernesto Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Van Damme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Van Damme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Belarmo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. A collision led to Hungarian Olympic getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Miladin Kirichev hit a great ball. With a little luck, Hungarian Olympic's Lukács Bánhegyi got control of the ball when Sergio Jerano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zosimo Vadillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Lukács Bánhegyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hungarian Olympic getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Béla Demeter hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zosimo Vadillo in the 28th minute of play forced Hungarian Olympic's goalkeeper Lukács Bánhegyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Papillon AC got a corner. Hungarian Olympic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Birila ran over to the corner to take the kick. Papillon AC's Gustavo Birila was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lukács Bánhegyi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 34 minutes into the match, Ernesto Belarmo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean Van Damme. Papillon AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Belarmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Papillon AC's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Oskar Walroth came free, but Jean Van Damme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Belarmo in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Van Damme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Miladin Kirichev came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Hungarian Olympic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miladin Kirichev couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute Gustavo Birila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukács Bánhegyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. At last the ball reached Medero Medina at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Hungarian Olympic. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Miladin Kirichev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Van Damme having to interfere. Papillon AC's Sergio Jerano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lukács Bánhegyi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lukács Bánhegyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Jerano, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Papillon AC's Jean Van Damme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Papillon AC from getting a goal against them. Mátyás Zakariás in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jean Van Damme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miladin Kirichev in the 84th minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Hungarian Olympic's Jean Van Damme threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miladin Kirichev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Emiliano Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Papillon AC's Astor Chinto was substituted for Emiliano Nardo. Hungarian Olympic's Miladin Kirichev got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Ernesto Belarmo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jean Van Damme, 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hungarian Olympic eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
