An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Said in the 6th minute of play forced Ema City's goalkeeper Bartosz Trzenzalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carneiro in the 7th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Said in the 10th minute of play forced Ema City's goalkeeper Bartosz Trzenzalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Attard Gunners got a corner. Ema City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godwin Sapiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Attard Gunners's zone, José Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jay Jowsey came out of the goal and José Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Trzenzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, José Carneiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jay Jowsey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Maciej Parzysz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Ema City's José Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jay Jowsey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neville Ciscaldi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ema City's Bartosz Trzenzalski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ema City from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, José Carneiro made a precise shot to the right of Jay Jowsey. Attard Gunners's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Ema City's José Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Ekelund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, José Carneiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jay Jowsey, passed just outside the right post. In the 52nd minute Alan Said shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Trzenzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Carneiro scored 1-5 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jay Jowsey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carneiro in the 57th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, José Carneiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jay Jowsey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. 63 minutes into the match, Ema City's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Ekelund came free, but Bartosz Trzenzalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ema City's Bartosz Trzenzalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Ekelund in the 63rd minute of play. Bartosz Trzenzalski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Ekelund, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Bartosz Trzenzalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani in the 69th minute of the match. Jay Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carneiro in the 74th minute of play. Attard Gunners's Adrian Savona was substituted for Alan Said. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Attard Gunners's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Filipkowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Ema City's players had a chance to rest. Ema City's Edward Filipkowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jay Jowsey in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Adrian Grech kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Attard Gunners's Michael Testaferrata Olivier was substituted for Sebastian Ekelund. A collision led to Attard Gunners getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Adrian Grech hit a great ball. The supporters of Ema City booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Bailey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute of the match, Edward Filipkowski sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Jay Jowsey showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Bartosz Trzenzalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Savona in the 95th minute of play.
