Mayo's Marcus Deacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristan Sama in the 7th minute of play. Marcus Deacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Sama in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Evelio Goren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teofilo Faro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th minute, Tristan Sama left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Trapito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Marcus Deacon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcus Deacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Sama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Idacio Ballejos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teofilo Faro having to make a save. Mayo's attentive Johnnie Osbourn managed to snatch the ball when Paulo Maldini made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. Teofilo Faro came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Mayo's Idacio Ballejos. But to his dismay, Idacio Ballejos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Marcus Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaakob Snow, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Teofilo Faro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Johnnie Osbourn sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute Mayo were awarded a corner. Evelio Goren went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Idacio Ballejos managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
