In the 18thth minute of the game Pablo Solchaga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Templars FC's André Courtois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Staffan Apelqvist during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Staffan Apelqvist hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Márk Kovács to make the kick off.
