Cristian de Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelino Roldan having to make a save. 11 minutes into the match, Abasto fútbol club's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian de Lima came free, but Angelino Roldan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Sampler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Tiadoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Mercado Paulista F.C's attentive Ambrosio Ostadar managed to snatch the ball when Benicio Koldo made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Carlos Duarte's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Angelino Roldan firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Norberto Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abasto fútbol club's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Tiadoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Sampler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Cristian de Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelino Roldan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Mercado Paulista F.C getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gervasio Hitz hit a great ball. Franco Sampler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 37th minute of play. The corner ended in Hudson Falcão almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler did a great save. 44 minutes into the game, Norberto Tiadoro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Franco Sampler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the game, Daði 曹南亦 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abasto fútbol club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mercado Paulista F.C the free kick. A collision led to Abasto fútbol club getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Daði 曹南亦 hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Mercado Paulista F.C made a substitution. Kent Lindberg replaced Cristian de Lima. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Tiadoro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Acosta. Abasto fútbol club's Alex Burgos was substituted for Claudio-Paul Caniggia. In the 61st minute, Atilano Acosta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mercado Paulista F.C made a substitution. Victoriano Escobar replaced Ambrosio Ostadar. In the 92nd minute of the match, Ulises Erasto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Franco Sampler saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Abasto fútbol club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
