The Monitor Huáscar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Claudio Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute of the match Monitor Huáscar got a corner. The Obscurials's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Modestio Cañucal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudio Quiroga might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zheng Chao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Quiroga ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Quiroga got free with Zheng Chao in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Mateo in the 14th minute of play. Claudio Quiroga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zheng Chao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Monitor Huáscar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Modestio Cañucal in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute Adriano Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostol Sokolov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apostol Sokolov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Westerstrand in the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in The Obscurials's zone, Paulo Fallabes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zheng Chao came out of the goal and Paulo Fallabes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apostol Sokolov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Westerstrand in the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to The Obscurials getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Emílio Palmeira hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Quiroga got free with Zheng Chao in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zheng Chao was a little too slow when Claudio Quiroga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Quiroga made a kick off. Claudio Quiroga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zheng Chao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes The Obscurials's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modestio Cañucal who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fotis Kapiris during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fotis Kapiris hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The Obscurials made a substitution. Angelo Eiró replaced Cliff Rowden. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Lin Jing Peng replaced Artemio Varas. After a rather tough play, The Obscurials's Fotis Kapiris got a free kick in the 69th minute. Claudio Quiroga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Monitor Huáscar from getting a goal against them. After 76 played minutes The Obscurials got a freekick which was hit by Fotis Kapiris. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Quiroga in the 77th minute of play forced The Obscurials's goalkeeper Zheng Chao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Monitor Huáscar were awarded a corner. Modestio Cañucal went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to The Obscurials getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Fotis Kapiris hit a great ball. Matias Ginter made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lawrance Grandison. When Edelmiro Mateo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the The Obscurials fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Mateo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to The Obscurials getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Fotis Kapiris hit a great ball. Monitor Huáscar were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
