Vikingos FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after SSV Ulm 1846's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marek Torm took the corner. Sebastián Sosa made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Niclas Monschke sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa got control of the ball when Niclas Monschke tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's Ladislao Erramu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kryspin Cupial narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Erramu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Monschke in the 40th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don Merlot made a kick off. Niclas Monschke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Sosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Olof Lilja in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute, Don Merlot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Vikingos FC made a substitution. Per-Olof Vallmark replaced Victor Abaurre. Peter Swan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kryspin Cupial having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Niclas Monschke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastián Sosa was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. If Niclas Monschke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SSV Ulm 1846's Kryspin Cupial got control of the ball when Peter Swan tried to sneak it across the goal line. SSV Ulm 1846's Niclas Monschke got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SSV Ulm 1846's Kryspin Cupial played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Vallmark in the 84th minute of play. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Monschke in the 85th minute of play. Per-Olof Vallmark struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Kryspin Cupial didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikingos FC. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
