Kryspin Cupial dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a little luck, SSV Ulm 1846's Kryspin Cupial got control of the ball when Lucrețiu Ghimiș tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timo Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Monschke in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Vărzaru to maneuver through the defense.
