Norberto Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Fagerberg in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Per Tunström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Tino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee ignored Rönnöfors FF's protests and gave Per Stenberg a yellow card for diving instead. Per Stenberg hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Per Tunström suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Doctor Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Lucia de Merlo's protests and gave Doctor Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Fagerberg made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Norberto Tino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Fagerberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Fagerberg in the 56th minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Norberto Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Sigvard Biörnberg came free, but Norberto Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Santa Lucia de Merlo getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bosse Spendrup hit a great ball. If Karl-Åke Runeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torsten Åman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Norberto Tino made a huge save. Karl-Åke Runeberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rönnöfors FF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
