After a rather tough play, Edson Futebol Clube's Tao Xing Yong got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heleno de Freitas in the 17th minute of play forced Tequileros FC's goalkeeper Ayhan Vuralhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Esiquio kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Edson Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Fontes. 22 minutes into the match, Tequileros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Karkantos came free, but Ayhan Vuralhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Magdaleno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Heleno de Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ayhan Vuralhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Christini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Magdaleno in the 54th minute of the match. Djalma Di Filippo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Lécuyer in the 56th minute of play forced Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paul Christini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Patricio Beltran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Christini skillfully saved the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Tequileros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Karkantos came free, but Ayhan Vuralhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tequileros FC's Filiberto Bittor was substituted for Venancio Azeari. The supporters of Tequileros FC booed when Edson Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tao Xing Yong didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Edgard Lécuyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Christini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Tequileros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Beltran to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the game, Tequileros FC's Edgard Lécuyer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Christini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tequileros FC's zone, Panos Karkantos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ayhan Vuralhan came out of the goal and Panos Karkantos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 played minutes Tequileros FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Lorien. With a little luck, Tequileros FC's Ayhan Vuralhan got control of the ball when Tao Xing Yong tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Lécuyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
