Jósef Wandzik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ghost Hunters's Doriva Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ghost Hunters's Jósef Wandzik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Hudák in the 9th minute of play. Doriva Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute, Ghost Hunters's Doriva Sousa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Michal Hudák blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jósef Wandzik having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Ghost Hunters's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Hudák came free, but Jósef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ghost Hunters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan-Åke Melander in the 27th minute. Sven-Oskar Rocheleau was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 29 minutes into the match, Ghost Hunters's goal looked a bit too open when Žigmund Csontos came free, but Jósef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Vernon De Marco hit a great ball. Jósef Wandzik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Hudák, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doriva Sousa in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Štefan Semeno saved AFK Petržalka from getting behind. After 47 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Igor Bališ.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doriva Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Obert to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doriva Sousa in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Štefan Semeno saved AFK Petržalka from getting behind. Vernon De Marco made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ghost Hunters's Henri-Patrick Grocholski. In the 61st minute, Doriva Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ghost Hunters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Victor Nyström made in the 64th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gilbert Lindell however managed to control. After having played for 66 minutes, Doriva Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghost Hunters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doriva Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Sven-Oskar Rocheleau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Štefan Semeno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute, Doriva Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Štefan Semeno was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Ghost Hunters made a substitution. Shi Yan Lin replaced Henri-Patrick Grocholski. Igor Bališ kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Štefan Semeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Oskar Rocheleau in the 89th minute of the match. Vernon De Marco kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Sousa in the 93rd minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Štefan Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFK Petržalka's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
