The corner led Zacisze Częstochowa's Cristo Verdu to fire away a dangerous shot which Wieslaw Panasewicz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Reynaldo Montrelle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miroslaw Gollob read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurand Cempa in the 94th minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
