In the 36th minute Jacek Gotfryd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yunus Civan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Agah Özver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Manex was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Yunus Civan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacek Gotfryd, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 47 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Malý came free, but Yunus Civan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedrettin Özaktuğ in the 81st minute of play forced Kukova United's goalkeeper Simon Manex to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
