Trabzonspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moisés Queiroga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute, Joachim Anselius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yunus Civan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Yunus Civan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Anselius in the 14th minute of the match. Agah Özver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 龙挺卫 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Moisés Queiroga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Queiroga in the 27th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Yunus Civan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yunus Civan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Queiroga in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Trabzonspor booed when Vejbystrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgny Valrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Vejbystrand's Moisés Queiroga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yunus Civan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vejbystrand were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Trabzonspor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sílvio Luís Faria took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Sílvio Luís Faria got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yunus Civan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute Moisés Queiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yunus Civan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Joachim Anselius reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yunus Civan. The goal made the score 0-3. Trabzonspor's Vacid Oğuzata was substituted for Lucio Claus. In the 71st minute of the game Torgny Valrot made a throw-in which Imre Sugár played forward. Yunus Civan made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Joachim Anselius sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute of the match Vejbystrand got a corner. Trabzonspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sílvio Luís Faria ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Lars Bergqvist heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 76 minutes into the match, Duran Ersan notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Vejbystrand's 龙挺卫. 龙挺卫 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trabzonspor made a substitution. Aybar Gürçınar replaced Guter Acosta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duran Ersan in the 82nd minute of play forced Vejbystrand's goalkeeper 龙挺卫 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Bedrettin Özaktuğ got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 龙挺卫 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th minute, Sílvio Luís Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vejbystrand's Bernt Nordlund was substituted for Joachim Anselius. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Faria hit a great ball. Buğrahan Uman struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. 龙挺卫 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trabzonspor. After some careless play in the Trabzonspor defense, Harald Ennegren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yunus Civan. The Trabzonspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yunus Civan should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Yunus Civan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harald Ennegren. In the 97th minute Vejbystrand were awarded a corner. Sílvio Luís Faria went to the cornerflag to take it. The Trabzonspor supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vejbystrand's performance. The match ended with a win for Vejbystrand.
