The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Recolta Alamor's Yoel Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lara in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute Joinville Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Júnior Zanette went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Gino Vander heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Wallace Newman got a throw-in 11 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Emmanuel Pennington. Yoel Quevedo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Benjamin Lara sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Wágner Leme could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Yoel Quevedo however easily saved by the left post. Recolta Alamor's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wágner Leme 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Bateman in the 23rd minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper A.J. 韩文海 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Benjamin Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Yoel Quevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Recolta Alamor's Yoel Quevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Recolta Alamor from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Bateman in the 46th minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper A.J. 韩文海 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Serginho Busquets fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joinville Esporte Clube's protests and gave Serginho Busquets a yellow card for diving instead. Recolta Alamor's Phil Riggs was substituted for Damian Dean. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Benjamin Lara made the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Lara took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yoel Quevedo. Yoel Quevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 66 minutes into the game, Gino Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Recolta Alamor the free kick. Joinville Esporte Clube made a substitution. Jerry Uchiha replaced Benjamin Lara. After 68 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gino Vander. 71 minutes into the game, Jerry Uchiha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Yoel Quevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yoel Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Uchiha in the 77th minute of play. Chris Bateman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without A.J. 韩文海 having to interfere. Yoel Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amauri Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoel Quevedo having to interfere. In the 89th minute Amauri Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Quevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Amauri Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Amauri Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yoel Quevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Recolta Alamor players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Joinville Esporte Clube.
