Marciano Fagondo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Lara's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Joinville Esporte Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Júnior Zanette in the 18th minute. A.J. 韩文海 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Gil in the 22nd minute of play. Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 叶平卫 in the 23rd minute of play. Marciano Fagondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Lara in the 25th minute of the match. Marciano Fagondo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Lara went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Marciano Fagondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper A.J. 韩文海 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacarias Lordi. 40 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Gil came free, but A.J. 韩文海 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tricolor's Marciano Fagondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lara in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Benjamin Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Fagondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 叶平卫 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
