Frank de Boer made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pretorianos FC's Victorino Loren. In the 52nd minute Sabino Valverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Wessel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute Dolf Schoonderwoerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Idacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Underdogs's Jan Wessel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Valverde in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when Pretorianos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Loren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Wessel came out of the goal and Tostão Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th match minute, Pretorianos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Pretorianos FC's Marciano Idacio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Pretorianos FC from getting a goal against them. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pretorianos FC's goalie and right to Piearres Olalla. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Pretorianos FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pretorianos FC's goalkeeper Marciano Idacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the game, Dolf Schoonderwoerd recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marciano Idacio. Dolf Schoonderwoerd showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
