The throw-in from Clemente Silviano in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Recolta Alamor's Theodore Cagle. After 30 minutes of play, Recolta Alamor's Norman Donnelly made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmond Verdun was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Bateman came free, but Edmond Verdun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Victorino Sandalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Quevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Isidro Gines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Errecaborda AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Gines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Sandalio to make the kick off.
