Vila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eilif Rosholm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89's Sezai Doğan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino Vinhas in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vila's zone, Abidin Camcı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Koit Vaikma came out of the goal and Abidin Camcı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Koit Vaikma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eilif Rosholm in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eilif Rosholm was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute of the match, Denis Alonso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sezai Doğan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 68 minutes, Denis Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vila made a substitution. Aigar Veider replaced Durvalino Vinhas. In the 70th match minute, Vila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Oher to maneuver through the defense.
