After 13 played minutes, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Cesar Romildo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jo Øverås came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Defensores de Mar de Ajó reached it. 14 minutes into the game, Kevin Bernini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kleopas Plouffe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute, Gogo Elequemedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Bernini got free with Kleopas Plouffe in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inautzi Quesada kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Kevin Bernini made a precise shot to the right of Kleopas Plouffe. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 38 minutes into the game, Kevin Bernini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kleopas Plouffe. In the 45th minute, Ashraf Hakimi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Daustad's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Romildo came free, but Jo Øverås reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Bernini in the 50th minute of play forced Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Kleopas Plouffe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kleopas Plouffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Bonet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kleopas Plouffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Bonet, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute of the match, Gogo Elequemedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jo Øverås saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
