If Cristian Leizaur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Yves Passot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montevideo City Torque fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Yves Passot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Cunha having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Eder Lopes came free, but Christophe Troxler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Passot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st match minute, Sabadim Harammes PRD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bento Candal to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Sabadim Harammes PRD's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Passot came free, but Mauro Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yves Passot might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Boulier got free with Christophe Troxler in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Yves Passot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montevideo City Torque's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Passot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eder Lopes in the 46th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Sabadim Harammes PRD were awarded a corner. Tao Yao Xi went to the cornerflag to take it. After the first half Montevideo City Torque were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eder Lopes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Eder Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Troxler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Sabadim Harammes PRD's goalkeeper Mauro Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yves Passot. Eder Lopes took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christophe Troxler. Christophe Troxler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Montevideo City Torque made a substitution. Betadur Medel replaced Yves Passot. Herbert Bastide got a throw-in 65 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eder Lopes. Christophe Troxler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Boulier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Boulier came free, but Christophe Troxler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match Tao Yao Xi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christophe Troxler skillfully saved the ball. Christophe Troxler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Bălăiță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Betadur Medel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Cristian Leizaur struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Mauro Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montevideo City Torque. Christophe Troxler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Boulier in the 93rd minute of the match. When Betadur Medel came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Montevideo City Torque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betadur Medel couldn't finish the play. Sabadim Harammes PRD were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
