In the 2nd minute, Kevin Bellet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Dezassete's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when James Madison scored to the left of an out of position Miguel Marin, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, FC Dezassete's Quintino Graça got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 22nd minute James Madison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Kevin Bellet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FC Dezassete's Miguel Marin got control of the ball when Arsenio Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. You fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Ponc having to interfere. Arsenio Maria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Miguel Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meng Di Jun in the 34th minute of the match. FC Dezassete's Miguel Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save FC Dezassete from getting a goal against them. Meng Di Jun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Ponc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match FC Dezassete got a corner. Villa Mitre City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hamlet Häfliger ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Isac Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Meng Di Jun made a kick off. Meng Di Jun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Dezassete's Hamlet Häfliger got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Meng Di Jun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arsenio Maria charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arsenio Maria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Villa Mitre City got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Maria. Villa Mitre City's Norbert Huratiak was substituted for Urbano Mendiko. The supporters of FC Dezassete booed when Villa Mitre City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Meng Di Jun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Dezassete's Quintino Prates was substituted for You. Generoso Laurgain made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Dezassete's Hamlet Häfliger. In the 94th match minute, Villa Mitre City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Laurgain to maneuver through the defense. Ariel Ponc was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Branco Tinto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 98 minute of play. The FC Dezassete supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Dezassete would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
