Feliks Dec dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Feliks Dec came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia CF Mindszent's Gábor Joó. But to his dismay, Gábor Joó quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 28 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Moreno came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Gaufred, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

In the 96th minute Konstantin Fitos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliks Dec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Valencia CF Mindszent supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Valencia CF Mindszent would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
