Boleslaw Zielinski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Radowit Ptaszek having to make a save. 3 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Zielinski came free, but Radowit Ptaszek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boleslaw Zielinski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radowit Ptaszek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Luisito Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Vettori in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Boleslaw Zielinski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radowit Ptaszek. Cesate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Boleslaw Zielinski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luisito Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaw Nienajadlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Boleslaw Zielinski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radowit Ptaszek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 28 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Vettori came free, but Luisito Quinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Lyons's Boleslaw Zielinski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radowit Ptaszek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 35 minutes into the match, Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Vettori. With a little luck, Lyons's Luisito Quinten got control of the ball when Attilio Mazzone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boleslaw Zielinski scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radowit Ptaszek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cesate's Radowit Ptaszek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boleslaw Zielinski in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Boleslaw Zielinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boleslaw Zielinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Lyons were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Vettori was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute, Lyons's Boleslaw Zielinski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Radowit Ptaszek. Radowit Ptaszek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Cesate's Comunardo Puja was substituted for Felice Frezza. Luisito Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Puja in the 67th minute of the match. When Gustaw Nienajadlo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Cesate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaw Nienajadlo couldn't finish the play. Lyons's Stig Åkerberg was substituted for Aurelio Vasco. Lyons's Marcos Berasko quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Allar Luite, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Dariusz Roano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cesate's Radowit Ptaszek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Cesate from getting a goal against them. After 75 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Dariusz Roano. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cesate's goalkeeper Radowit Ptaszek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lyons were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Cesate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcos Berasko took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Wambasther Piqué got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Radowit Ptaszek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 83 minutes of play, Lyons's Dariusz Roano made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radowit Ptaszek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Radowit Ptaszek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Roano, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Vettori in the 88th minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dariusz Roano in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radowit Ptaszek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 96 minutes into the match, Lyons's Dariusz Roano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radowit Ptaszek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lyons had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
