But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Ferrante couldn't finish the play. Ovidiu Caranfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Ferrante in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Emilio Ferrante notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil. In the 33rd minute, Emilio Ferrante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PICCOLE PESTI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ovidiu Caranfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Ferrante in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of PICCOLE PESTI booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Greavu didn't get a good kick on the ball. PICCOLE PESTI's attentive Aaron Anselmino managed to snatch the ball when Nechifor Cucerdean made a throw-in in the 45th minute of the game. Emilio Ferrante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Caranfil having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ştefan Panțuru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ovidiu Caranfil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilio Ferrante went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 63 minutes, Emilio Ferrante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PICCOLE PESTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Ferrante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pietruzzu Rizzi in the 75th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remus Greavu in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrizio Manzi saved PICCOLE PESTI from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Pietruzzu Rizzi notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil.
