The audience thought a goal was coming when Gábor Joó got free with Radowit Ptaszek in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 11 minutes, Gábor Joó made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cesate's Radowit Ptaszek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Mazzone in the 16th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Vettori, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Gábor Joó who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Radowit Ptaszek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gábor Joó could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Radowit Ptaszek made a huge save. Christos Xenidis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gábor Joó in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radowit Ptaszek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Gábor Joó reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Radowit Ptaszek. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 46th minute, Octav Blănaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Mazzone came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Vettori made a kick off. Rene Higuita made a fantastic save in the 50th minute, when Angelo Ferraris sent off a good shot on target. Gábor Joó took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radowit Ptaszek. Radowit Ptaszek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice moves Attilio Mazzone could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Rene Higuita however easily saved by the left post. Gábor Joó scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radowit Ptaszek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cesate's Comunardo Puja was substituted for Felice Frezza. Rene Higuita made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Kay Stormlund sent off a good shot on target. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Konstantin Fitos replaced Gábor Joó. Valencia CF Mindszent's Adolfo Larrauri was substituted for Marcell Kiss. The supporters of Cesate booed when Valencia CF Mindszent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saltuk Peykan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstantin Fitos in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radowit Ptaszek saved Cesate from getting behind. Cesate were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Valencia CF Mindszent's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kay Stormlund took the corner. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kay Stormlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comunardo Puja scored 4-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Higuita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Puja in the 89th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valencia CF Mindszent's Rene Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Vettori in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's Konstantin Fitos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radowit Ptaszek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Konstantin Fitos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radowit Ptaszek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Valencia CF Mindszent fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cesate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
