The corner ended in Dé Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sacando del Medio's Bernardo Loren did a great save. 26 minutes into the match, Dé Montenegro notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sacando del Medio's Bernardo Loren. Bernardo Loren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Sacando del Medio's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Montenegro came free, but Bernardo Loren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sacando del Medio's Bernardo Loren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Montenegro in the 31st minute of play. Bernardo Loren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dé Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Rogério Saldanha got a free kick in the 35th minute. Marcos Roberto hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal got control of the ball when Cristobal Kelemen tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artemio Odol in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Augusto Quintal saved Várzea F.C. from getting behind. Sacando del Medio's Artemio Odol got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Jesus Eusko got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Artemio Odol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sacando del Medio's Bernardo Loren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Saldanha in the 46th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Sacando del Medio got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Ricart. Anderson Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Loren having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anderson Paiva was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when Sacando del Medio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Gonsalvo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Loren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dé Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the match, Artemio Odol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal. If Artemio Odol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Odol came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Artemio Odol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Eusko kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rogério Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Várzea F.C.'s Valdomiro Duarte was substituted for Anderson Paiva. 85 minutes into the match, Sacando del Medio's goalkeeper Bernardo Loren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Montenegro. Bernardo Loren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Duarte in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Artemio Odol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sacando del Medio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Odol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Artemio Odol put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal. Sacando del Medio's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
