In the 19th minute of the match SC Braga got a corner. Real Helland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charl De Metser ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Malheiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jon-Erik Ringvold quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Doriva Dante charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doriva Dante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jon-Erik Ringvold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Doriva Dante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laçın Cumayev. SC Braga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doriva Dante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 31st minute, Stig-Åke Mattsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Braga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Laçın Cumayev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Przemyslaw Ciupierdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Doriva Dante scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laçın Cumayev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Real Helland's zone, Stig-Åke Mattsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jon-Erik Ringvold came out of the goal and Stig-Åke Mattsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Helland's goalkeeper Jon-Erik Ringvold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Przemyslaw Ciupierdo to strike the kick off in the second half. Laçın Cumayev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Stig-Åke Mattsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Helland's Jon-Erik Ringvold was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stig-Åke Mattsson struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jon-Erik Ringvold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. Real Helland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Stig-Åke Mattsson scored to the left of an out of position Jon-Erik Ringvold, making the score, 2-2. SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas was substituted for Stig-Åke Mattsson. SC Braga's Antonio Cieri was substituted for Benjamin de Lara. 71 minutes in the game Constantijn Belmans did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ole Meisingset. In the 72nd minute, Zigmantas Gimbutas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jon-Erik Ringvold was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Jon-Erik Ringvold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, Real Helland's Jon-Erik Ringvold got control of the ball when Zigmantas Gimbutas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pipis Dilberis hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon-Erik Ringvold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zigmantas Gimbutas struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Jon-Erik Ringvold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. 90 minutes into the match, Doriva Dante notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of SC Braga's Laçın Cumayev. Laçın Cumayev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tor-Kristian Seim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Helland's supporters rose to their feet, but Tor-Kristian Seim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laçın Cumayev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
