In the 3rd minute, Johnathan Bowden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnathan Bowden in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Winnicki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emanuel Brites hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Abid Bubalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iie Martadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Johnathan Bowden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilbert Winnicki was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 25th minute of the game, Abid Bubalo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Fabian Zaremba charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabian Zaremba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bucharia Reco getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Fabian Zaremba hit a great ball. If Johnathan Bowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Selebi-Phikwe from getting a goal against them. Johnathan Bowden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Winnicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iie Martadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Uggstedt in the 40th minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Uggstedt came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Calle Beck made the kick off in the second half. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Hjälm in the 51st minute of play. Waut Switten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Winnicki having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Beck came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Calle Beck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bucharia Reco made a substitution. Michal Szel replaced Iie Martadi. The supporters of Selebi-Phikwe booed when Bucharia Reco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Zaremba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartosz Brysz hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's Victor Nelson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Johnathan Bowden who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Gilbert Winnicki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Bucharia Reco's Gilbert Winnicki got control of the ball when Johnathan Bowden tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bucharia Reco's Gilbert Winnicki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Bucharia Reco from getting a goal against them.
