But to his dismay, Ivo Basay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Made in Paraguay's Oscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Basay in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Colo-Colo booed when Made in Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseba Font didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lalo Vilchez made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Faustão Prestes however managed to control. Oscar Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ivo Basay sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Gonzo Maradona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Basay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Oscar Cordoba made a huge save. Faustão Prestes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.

Ivo Basay took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Cordoba. Oscar Cordoba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ni Qi Yuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Eladio Escalona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Made in Paraguay made a substitution. Tytus Majdoch replaced Ni Qi Yuan. Pablo Solari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
