But to his dismay, Rubén Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Vérsárkány SE's Bandit Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Martínez in the 13th minute of play. Colo-Colo's Jerzy Smolak quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ákos Pálfi, made in the 20th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's Honorio Droguett got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Martínez in the 22nd minute of play forced Vérsárkány SE's goalkeeper Bandit Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Puskás got free with Eladio Escalona in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nimród Tálas fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vérsárkány SE's protests and gave Nimród Tálas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Vérsárkány SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nimród Tálas to maneuver through the defense. Bandit Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén Martínez in the 29th minute of the match. Rubén Martínez scored 0-4 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bandit Sarap, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bandit Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubén Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Nimród Tálas made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Csongor Tálas in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eladio Escalona saved Colo-Colo from getting behind. In the 53rd minute Rubén Martínez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bandit Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nimród Tálas took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eladio Escalona. Eladio Escalona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. In the 62nd minute, Rubén Martínez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bandit Sarap was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. In the 66th minute Csongor Tálas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Escalona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Vérsárkány SE's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Martínez came free, but Bandit Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubén Martínez in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bandit Sarap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eladio Escalona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Csongor Tálas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
