Jaroslaw Czysty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pawel Wolnik, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 46 minutes into the game, one of Powiśle Warszawa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Marcelino Orlondo might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanislav Saktor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. If Güneş Pekergin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Powiśle Warszawa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
