After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Alex Sági managed to get in a good position for a shot. AVAÍ F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Sági was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zhang Hong Xun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zhang Hong Xun didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Old BaoBaB Accademy's Antonio Di Luca was substituted for Emilio Buffone. The crowd rose to their feet as Tarcisio Chaves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zhang Hong Xun. That made the score 3-1 in the 28 minute of play. Doriva Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Old BaoBaB Accademy's Robert Pirès got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zhang Hong Xun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Alegría in the 34th minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match, Dario Alegría tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zhang Hong Xun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Di Luca to make the kick off. Walmyr Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Antonio Di Luca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Marcos Buffon made a huge save. Alex Sági fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhang Hong Xun having to interfere. AVAÍ F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Sági was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AVAÍ F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
