To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roman Lutsyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Alegría in the 21st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dario Alegría's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Lutsyk was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Marcos Buffon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walmyr Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Lutsyk having to make a save. Walmyr Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Roman Lutsyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Lutsyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Alegría, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The AVAÍ F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when AVAÍ F.C.'s Dario Alegría looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by 蔡斐宽 in the 46th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roman Lutsyk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dario Alegría showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-0 in the 48 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.
