Thommy Maerschalks didn't get a good kick on the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Øyvind Rovik heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After having played for 6 minutes, Zeng Xu Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poetass FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeng Xu Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Maria Goiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heigo Luiga in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match C.A.Independiente got a corner. Poetass FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gavril Bosioc ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gavril Bosioc made a great header on C.A.Independiente's corner, it was just that Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 14th match minute, C.A.Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Basajaun to maneuver through the defense. C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeng Xu Yuan in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, C.A.Independiente's Cristo Basajaun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ciriaco Macias came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Poetass FC's Witold Bronicki. But to his dismay, Witold Bronicki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Jon-Egil Schjelderup came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristo Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. José Maria Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Kalle Billberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeng Xu Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mon Ibaute during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heigo Luiga got free with José Maria Goiano in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Egil Schjelderup in the 37th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeng Xu Yuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciriaco Macias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kalle Billberg in the 52nd minute. After 54 minutes, Ricardo Baumar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.Independiente and the Poetass FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricardo Baumar hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witalis Brysz got free with Ciriaco Macias in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kalle Billberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Macias having to interfere. With a little luck, C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias got control of the ball when Witalis Brysz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeng Xu Yuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ciriaco Macias made a huge save. Baldomiro Silvino hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Kalle Billberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Macias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeng Xu Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Indiana Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A.Independiente's Lorenzo Rosas was substituted for Heigo Luiga. In the 85th minute of the match, Zeng Xu Yuan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ciriaco Macias saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Milei in the 86th minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper José Maria Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kalle Billberg in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Macias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the game, Siro Serapio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poetass FC the free kick. Zeng Xu Yuan shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 96 minutes into the match, Witalis Brysz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias. Ciriaco Macias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The C.A.Independiente fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Poetass FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
